Selected after participation in the Bourbon Takeover Of Texas, these 5 Mixologists are battling it out for a spot in the finals and a $10,000 prize by Good Bourbon for a Good Cause.
March 28th, 2019 – The following competitors will be representing their city and state and showcasing their talents behind the bar!
Shakers will shake, bottles will spin and muddlers will muddle until only one competitor emerges, victorious. Come and support your local cocktail-crafting hero!
You will have access to cocktails from each of the semi-finalists as well as free beer, wine, and bites.
Donations are $20 and the ticket sales go to Good Bourbon for a Good Cause, a 501c3 public charity.

50 Ml Garrison Brothers 2018 Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey
22 Ml Martini & Rossi Rubino Vermouth
10 Ml Bigallet China – China
10 Ml House Made Coffee Liqueur
2 Dsh Vieux Pontarlier Absinthe
Served in a Rocks Glass over Ice
Garnished with flamed orange peel expressed and placed in the glass.
Rigo Aranguren – Mastro’s
“The 183rd”
2oz fat wash straight bourbon
1 bar spoon ipa syrup
Ango and orange bitters
James Cone – Wicklow Heights
“When the Sun Goes Down in Hye”
-2oz Garrison Brothers
-1 Caramelized grapefruit wheel
-.5 Demerara
-1 dash angostura bitters
Garnished with a locally sourced dehydrated ruby red grapefruit wheel
Will Wagner – Pinkerton’s
“La Rosa Amarilla”
1oz GB
.75oz Mango puree
.75oz Lemon Juice
.5oz lavender syrup
Dakota Jones – Whiskey Cake, Baybrook
“Harris County Sour”
2 Dash Black Walnut Bitters
3/4 oz Aquafaba
2 oz Garrison Brothers
1/4 oz Benedectine
1/4 oz Yellow Chartreuse
3/4 Lemon Juice
3/4 Texas Honey
Add ingredients in mixing tin without ice and dry shake
Add ice and wet shake.
Double Strain into Chilled Coupe Glass
Garnish with torched rosemary sprig
