– About the Chef –
Rocco Nankervis developed as a chef at an early age. Growing up in the melting pot of Miami, Florida gave him a unique perspective and range of cuisine knowledge. After his attendance in two culinary programs his career started to sizzle quickly. Rocco started in smaller kitchens getting his feet wet until his debut at the Ritz-Carlton in Ft. Lauderdale, then The Waldorf Astoria in Naples, FL where he began to develop his style and move up the ranks. With this experience under his belt, the ambitious chef opened his first restaurant at only 28 years old. After this venture, Rocco teamed up with Landry’s Inc. and has not slowed down. He has appeared on Food Network’s Chopped, Billion Dollar Buyer and won multiple major cooking competitions as well. Rocco is now been the Executive Chef for multiple concepts including The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Morton’s The Steakhouse, and recently joined Mastro’s Ocean Club in Ft. Lauderdale as Executive Chef.
