Culinary Magician
Our ideal candidate will:
Possess extensive P&L knowledge
Oversee all purchasing and inventory controls. Own the COGs.
Write schedules accountable to the season and events and be accountable for controllable kitchen labor.
Supervise proper sanitation and proper cooking techniques.
Create and ensure cleaning schedules are maintained on each station.
Proactively manage maintenance of two kitchens including maintenance of equipment.
Interview, hire and train potential cooks.
Expedite service & ensure that food is of the highest quality & expedited in a timely manner.
Execute preparation for all on site events
Have a registered Food Manager Certification; TABC certification a plus
Have a working vehicle with a clean driving record.
Be able to pass a background check
Have a sick sense of humor and use it to interact and entertain guests and staff
You will be expected to prepare light breakfast and lunch for 25+ people every day Wednesday through Sunday.
You will coordinate with the owner to update the current menu for the on-site kitchen and bar, The Whiskey Shack, as well as continue to update seasonally. ***Specials are encouraged.
You will oversee all food service operations of The Whiskey Shack when it’s open.
You will be involved and often supervise any and all food service during any special events we hold throughout the year.
