2026 Balmorhea Release
Balmorhea has always been a bourbon that takes its time. Twice-barreled in new American oak and bottled at 115 proof, this year’s release is rich, deep, and exactly as it should be. The kind of pour you don’t rush. The kind you sit with.
This year’s release carries more of that time than any we’ve shared before. The barrels behind it have reached ten years in the Texas heat. Not because we set out chasing a number, but because time had its way with them. It’s still Balmorhea. Just shaped a little differently by the years it was given.
On Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 8:00 AM, we’re bringing Balmorhea back to the distillery in Hye for its annual release, priced at $179.99. We’ll also be releasing Balmorhea Cask Strength Single Barrel at $209.99 per bottle, with proceeds benefitting the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation, helping preserve the kind of places that inspired this bourbon in the first place.
Aged six years and then four more in a second new American oak barrel, expect toasted marshmallows and amaretto on the nose, followed by sticky buns, glazed donuts, double fudge brownies, chocolate syrup, Heath bars, English toffee, pecan brittle, and pecan ice cream. Big, rich, and unapologetically decadent.
We’ll have bottles available, live music rolling, and a full day of Hill Country hospitality. Come out, take your time, and enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
