After 19 years of active duty service as a Coast Guard Electronics Technician, Senior Chief Spence is preparing for his next chapter—and our local disc golf community is going to feel his absence deeply. Known by many as the unofficial guardian of The Monster at Majette, Carl didn’t just play the course; he cared for it. In his spare time, he spent countless hours raking the ponds, ultimately recovering and returning over 400 lost discs in the last 18 months alone. Carl, we are going to miss your persistence, your ‘never-quit’ attitude, and your selfless volunteer spirit.
