Army
I met my husband late in life and one thing I admired about him is his willingness to go above and beyond for everyone. He is a retired veteran and served for 28 years. I noticed some of his soldiers messaging him for help with inner battles. My husband has never turned any of them, whether they worked for him or new soldiers he would meet on the street. When 2020 came around, our grandson, 12 years old was staying with us. My husband found a park with a baseball team so he could coach and get our grandson out of the house for some fun. 6 years later he still coaches at the same park. Still makes time for soldiers and friends. I know he isn’t Superman to most people, but I see the kindness in his heart to want to help anyone who crosses his path. Our 2 sons are in the Army and he has helped them through some deployments and difficult times. People look up to him because of his knowledge and he is also a great handyman. He’s our hero.
