Alisha Grover

Alisha is the most caring person I know. She is the secretary at Mayfield High School. I can’t think of a day when someone in the community has not run up to give her a hug or tells me how lucky I am to be married to such a wonderful woman. I have Moms tell me that their kids could have went down the wrong path, but Alisha took the time to care, listen and make their child feel heard and special. Every graduation at least five kids with their parents come up to give her a hug and thank her for the help that she provided them. I tell her sometimes that I think I am paying her to work at the school. Countless times, I look in the checkbook and see that she has gone to the grocery store, only to arrive home and see no groceries. She sees the pain and trauma that many of our cities’ kids live through and never fails to help when she sees a need. I know the chances of her ever winning an award are slim, but I can’t help but nominate the greatest person I have ever met. I also nominated the person that protects her at school. LOL
