About the French Toasted Bourbon Croissants
French toast, made with croissants. Buttery croissants soak up a cinnamon-nutmeg custard spiked with Garrison Brothers Small Batch, then sear golden in a skillet. Fresh berries and a bourbon maple syrup finish a brunch that feels like a holiday.
Should I use fresh or day-old croissants?
Day-old. Slightly stale croissants soak up the batter without falling apart.
Can I keep them warm for a crowd?
Yes. Hold the cooked croissants on a rack in a 200°F oven while you finish the batch.
Can I make the syrup ahead?
Yes. The bourbon maple syrup keeps in the fridge for weeks. Warm it before serving.
