Hye Note Concert Featuring Rye Mountain Revelry
Born in the hills of Eastern Kentucky and honed in Austin, Texas, Rye Mountain Revelry’s “Cosmic Appalachian” sound seamlessly weaves traditional bluegrass and country with a psychedelic vibe. Dubbed an “Appalachian Fleetwood Mac” by The Deli Magazine, tight harmonies, driving rhythms, raw fiddle, and punchy guitar are the center of RMR’s aural aesthetic.
Drawing inspiration from the coal-mining hills of Eastern Kentucky and the open spaces of Texas, the band blends Appalachian roots with influences from across the country music family tree, invoking shades of soul, blues, rock, jam, and psychedelia. The result is a transcendent Southern sound that feels both timeless and entirely their own.
