Trey spent almost 30 years serving with Dallas PD. There are many examples I could site, but one stands out more than all of the rest.
On July 7, 2016 he was a Sgt. in downtown Dallas when we experienced the absolute worst night in Dallas Police history. Trey selflessly through himself into harms way to try and save the life of fellow officers. Tragically, 4 Dallas Police Officers, and 1 Dallas Area Rapid transit Officer were lost that night.
For his actions, trey was awarded the department’s highest award for valor. He is one of the few officers to receive that award and live to tell the tale.
On a personal note, he has been my best friend for almost 30 years. He saved my life on the job, and has stood right next to me through thick and thin.
I can’t think of anyone more deserving of the title HERO than Trey Wagner.
