Asahel Scallan

Asahel has served the community and nation for most of her life, starting out with 11 years in the Army as a Military Police soldier, along with a period of serving as the Division Commanders driver. After leaving the military she continued to serve for 5 years as a Virginia State Trooper, during that period having to respond to the shootings at Virginia Tech in 2007. Asahel made the change to education first as a counseling admin and then sought out to become a teacher which she is now in her second year as a high school English teacher in the Belton, Texas school district. Asahel is an amazing teacher, mother, mentor, role model, and veteran
