COL (Ret) Michael Pelzner made a difference in the Army and Army Medicine over a career that spanned over 29 years on active duty. He managed hospitals, was at one point in charge of medical readiness for the entire Army working out of the Surgeon General’s office, was the Chief Surgeon for the Army National Guard across all 54 states and territories, and was the Command Surgeon for the US Army of the Pacific.
