About the El Gallo Canta
A Bloody Mary's bolder Texas cousin, inspired by fresh salsa. Garrison Brothers Small Batch is shaken with tomato juice, lime, fresh jalapeño and a house-made garlic onion syrup, then served tall with cilantro and lime. Savory, bright and built for brunch.
Can I make the garlic onion syrup ahead?
Yes. It keeps in the fridge for up to two weeks, so one batch covers plenty of rounds.
How spicy is El Gallo Canta?
As spicy as your jalapeño. Shake with one thin slice for a gentle kick. For a salsa-style version, blend fresh cilantro and jalapeño into the syrup before straining.
What does El Gallo Canta mean?
It's Spanish for "the rooster sings."
