About the Crescent Wrapped Bourbon Soaked Smokies

Pigs in a blanket, all grown up. Little smokies simmer in BBQ sauce and Garrison Brothers Small Batch until sticky and glazed, then get wrapped in flaky crescent dough and baked golden. The leftover bourbon BBQ sauce becomes the dip.

Questions, answered

Can I make them ahead?

Glaze and wrap the smokies up to a day ahead, then refrigerate them on the pan and bake just before serving.

Why let the smokies cool first?

Hot smokies melt the dough and make it hard to wrap. Cool smokies keep the crescent flaky.

How many does it make?

An 8 oz package has about 24 smokies, but two cans of dough wrap about 48, so double the smokies if you're using all the dough.
