About the Born to Bee Wild

A floral, sweet-tart sour in a sugar-rimmed glass. Garrison Brothers HoneyDew's wildflower honey meets elderflower liqueur and tangy hibiscus syrup, with fresh lemon to keep it lively. The hibiscus turns it a deep ruby pink, and the sugar rim adds a little crunch to every sip.

Questions, answered

How do I make hibiscus syrup?

Steep ¼ cup dried hibiscus flowers in 1 cup of hot water for 10 minutes, strain, stir in 1 cup of sugar until it dissolves, and let it cool. It keeps in the fridge for about two weeks.

How do I make hibiscus sugar for the rim?

Grind a few dried hibiscus flowers to a powder and mix them into granulated sugar. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of the glass and dip it in.

Can I use Small Batch instead of HoneyDew?

Yes. Small Batch makes a bolder, drier sour. HoneyDew keeps it softer and honeyed.
