About the Busy Little Bees
A floral little sour from the hive. Garrison Brothers HoneyDew, bourbon infused with Texas wildflower honey, is shaken with fresh lemon, lavender syrup and orange bitters. It's light, bright and just sweet enough, with a sprig of lavender on top.
How do I make lavender syrup?
Simmer 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon of dried culinary lavender for 5 minutes, let it steep for 20 minutes, then strain. Go easy on the lavender; too much tastes soapy.
Can I use Small Batch instead of HoneyDew?
Yes. Small Batch makes a bolder, drier sour. HoneyDew keeps the honey front and center.
Can I batch it for a party?
Yes. One 750 ml bottle of HoneyDew makes about 17 drinks. Combine it with 8½ oz each of fresh lemon juice and lavender syrup and about 1 oz orange bitters. Keep it cold, shake about 2½ oz per drink with ice and strain into chilled coupes.
