About the Coco Spice
A creamy, tropical bourbon cocktail. Garrison Brothers HoneyDew is shaken long and hard with coconut milk, chai concentrate, lemongrass syrup and fresh mint until it turns silky and frothy. Warm spice up front, bright lemongrass and mint on the finish.
How do I make lemongrass syrup?
Simmer 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar with two stalks of lemongrass, bruised and chopped, for 10 minutes. Let it cool, then strain. It keeps in the fridge for about two weeks.
Why shake it so long?
Coconut milk needs a long, hard shake to whip air into it. Thirty seconds to a minute gives the drink its frothy, silky texture.
Can I use store-bought chai concentrate?
Yes. Any chai concentrate works; spicier ones stand up best to the coconut.
