About the Texas Tradewinds
A tiki breeze blowing in from the Hill Country. Garrison Brothers Small Batch is shaken hard with apricot liqueur, fresh lime, orgeat and a little cream of coconut, then poured over crushed ice with a dehydrated pineapple wheel. Creamy, fruity and bright.
What is cream of coconut?
A thick, sweetened coconut cream, like Coco López, made for drinks. It's not the same as coconut milk or unsweetened coconut cream.
What is orgeat?
An almond syrup, often scented with orange flower water. It's a tiki staple and pairs well with apricot.
Can I batch it for a party?
Yes. One 750 ml bottle of Small Batch makes about 12 drinks. Combine it with 6¼ oz each of apricot liqueur, fresh lime juice and orgeat, plus 3¼ oz cream of coconut. Keep it cold, shake about 3¾ oz per drink with ice and strain over crushed ice.
