About the Meant to Bee
A garden-party take on the Boulevardier. Garrison Brothers HoneyDew leads, with a quarter ounce each of Amaro Meletti, Gran Classico and Carpano Antica adding bittersweet herbs, saffron and vanilla. The honey softens the bitter edges, and orange bitters tie it together.
What is Gran Classico?
A Swiss bitter aperitif made from a blend of herbs and roots. It's like Campari but a little less sweet and more herbal.
What is Amaro Meletti?
An Italian amaro with saffron, violet and anise notes. It's lighter and sweeter than most amari.
Can I batch it for a party?
Yes. One 750 ml bottle of HoneyDew makes about 12 drinks. Combine it with 3¼ oz each of Amaro Meletti, Gran Classico and Carpano Antica and about ¾ oz orange bitters. Add 7¼ oz cold water, chill, and pour about 3½ oz into each chilled coupe.
