About the Honey Hye-Biscus
Spring in Texas, shaken. Garrison Brothers HoneyDew meets Italicus bergamot liqueur, tart hibiscus tea, lime and orgeat, with a whisper of cinnamon. It's floral, sweet-tart and bright pink, finished with an edible flower.
What is Italicus?
Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto, an Italian aperitivo liqueur flavored with bergamot citrus. It adds a perfumed, Earl Grey-like note.
How strong should the hibiscus tea be?
Brew it strong: two hibiscus tea bags (or 2 tablespoons of dried flowers) in 1 cup of hot water for 5 minutes, then chill it.
Can I batch it for a party?
Yes. One 750 ml bottle of HoneyDew makes about 17 drinks. Combine it with 8½ oz each of Italicus, fresh lime juice and orgeat, 12¾ oz hibiscus tea and about 1 oz cinnamon tincture. Keep it cold, shake about 3¾ oz per drink with ice and double strain into coupes.
