Bourbon Apple Crisp

Fresh apples tossed with Garrison Brothers Bourbon, brown sugar and cinnamon, topped with an oatmeal streusel, baked until golden brown and topped with vanilla ice cream. Yield: 2 Servings

Ingredients

Filling:
¼ Cup Garrison Brothers Bourbon
1 Tbsp. Butter, Melted
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
2 tsp. Cornstarch
½ tsp. Cinnamon
2 Cups Apple Slices, Peeled
Streusel:
¼ Cup All-Purpose Flour
¼ Cup Rolled Oats
¼ Cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
2 Tbsp. Butter, Small Diced
Topping:
3 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream

1. Preheat an oven to 350⁰F.
2. Combine the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and cinnamon in a food processor to make the streusel.
3. Mount in the butter and pulse until the mixture becomes crumbly, then refrigerate.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the Garrison Brothers Bourbon, melted butter, brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
5. Toss the apples in the Garrison Brothers Bourbon mixture and lay them in a greased baking dish.
6. Top with a thin layer of the crumbled streusel and bake for about 25 minutes, or until the streusel topping has set.
7. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
